Accutron WatchFirst I should explain the original Accutron watch. Originally the Accutron watches were made by Bulova using a specially designed tuning fork with various other electronics to run. This was one of the first truly electronic watches. This technology was used on instruments inside the apollo spacecrafts because of uncertainty about mechanical movement working without gravity. Today, the brand Accutron is owned by Bulova (which is owned by Citizen) and is NOT using the original tuning fork technology that made it so famous. However, they still manufacture some very classy Swiss-inspired watches. |
