They can be in a variety of metals and have different type of gems. Watches are an especially nice type of jewelery. There are multiple aspects of determining the value of a watch. There is the actual watch workmanship and the jewelery factor. Some watches are very cheap mass produced mechanisms but made of real valuable metals and containing expensive gems or diamonds. Others have very precise, high quality mechanisms but are only made of stainless steel and don't have any gems or diamonds. Some are a combination of both.
