Faberge Jewellery From France

Posted by Matthew on August 23rd, 2010

Faberge was from France in a village north of France known as Picardy. The family first fled to Germany and then to the Baltic province of Livonia and eventually settled in Saint Petersburg. Carl Faberge took over the family business which grew from a small workshop, this then became twice the size and the business took off from there. The new Faberge building has several chambers where jewellery items, stone cutting pieces etc are sold. Carl Faberge controlled every thing in his workshop to the tiniest detail and his factory specialised in stone cutting of precious stones such as Siberian stones.
